A downloadable Prototype Build

Painter's Perils was a short demo for a top-down shoot-em-up game that was designed for a 3 week gamejam for shoot-em-up games, with some inspiration taken from some popular dungeon crawler shmups such as The Binding of Isaac and Enter the Gungeon, as well as featuring an original composition whose style is borrowed from classic arcade bullet hells.

The idea here was that a young artist's scribbles and doodles had come to life and began stirring up trouble, and it is up to the player- the aforementioned painter, to strike them down with her paintbrush in order to collect colour resources to fuel one of three ranged paint bullet attacks.

(Of course, this *was* the intention, but in the end, what's to show instead is a very crude prototype design for a level and some brief documentation by me.)

WASD for movement, lmb for melee attack, rmb to shoot, e to cycle between ranged weapons (all functionally identical for now).
